The President and Vice President of Ain Shams University inspecting the first open world-class restaurant

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, conducted an inspection tour of the open restaurant, which was implemented for the first time at the level of Egyptian universities with this unique international design and is located in the university city, students.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud said that the implementation of this restaurant came with the aim of providing the greatest protection for students residing in the university city and other students so that they could eat their meals in an open healthy atmosphere without exposure to any potential risks of infection, stressing that the restaurant was designed in a manner to protect its visitors from exposure to the sun or rain And other weather phenomena, in a way that guarantees a suitable aesthetic appearance for students.

He added that the restaurant is designed in a smart, multi-use way, so that it is used outside meal periods as a place for entertainment and activities according to the necessary precautions, as well as the possibility of using it as a place for study in the open air.

The tour also included inspecting all the city buildings and their annexes, in order to ensure the regularity of student housing procedures at the beginning of the new academic year 2020/2021, and they also followed up on the completion of the development and raising the efficiency of the stadiums, the newly created running track, the rest yards prepared for students and others.

The university has held a number of awareness seminars for social workers and administrators and all staff of the administrative apparatus of workers in the university cities sector in order to raise awareness of how to implement and verify that all precautionary measures have been taken to prevent the risks of the virus (Covid-19), in cooperation with the infection control team at Ain Shams University Hospitals; to ensure student safety.
