Prof. Mahmoud El-Matiny, President of Ain Shams University, received the team of the Electronic and Cognitive Services Center at the Supreme Council of Universities and the Information Technology Industry Development Authority at the Ministry of Communications, as part of their visit to the university to support the digital transformation of the smart university, which is scheduled to last for three days from 17 to 19 August.
During the meeting with the team, the objectives of the visit, its services, general details and expected outcomes were presented in the presence of the Vice-Presidents of the University for Education, Student and Higher Studies, Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computers, Prof. Jamal Hussein, Director of the Consulting Center, Prof. Hussam Fahim, Professor, Faculty of Computers.
The visit team included Dr. Ibrahim Fathy, a representative of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Hossam Essam and Dr. Haitham Hamza from the Ministry of Communications,
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, that digital transformation has become an inevitable priority considering the current circumstances the country is going through.
After the opening meeting, a mini-meeting was held to discuss the processes and applications used in the university with the aim of managing education, curricula and educational materials used, which was attended by Prof. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, and both Prof. Dr. Director Information Executive, Director of the Management Information Systems Unit, and Director of the E-Learning Unit.
