For the first time in the world, Al-Alsun launches the Arabic Language and Translation for Non-Native Speakers Program, using the credit hour system
Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, announced the opening of the door for admission to the Arabic Language and Translation Program for Non-Arabic Speakers, for the academic year 2020/2021, in line with the "Study in Egypt" initiative launched by Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister Higher education, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
Dean of the Faculty explained that among the international languages, the Arabic language stands firmly, with its network of relations at all levels. The cultural, historical, religious, political, and economic links are linked to the cultures of the whole world. Therefore, the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University offers the golden opportunity to master Arabic language skills and place students at the heart of global cultural interactions, through a distinguished program in language and translation in the hour system. Approved for non-Arabic speakers.
She indicated that the Arabic language and translation program for non-Arabic speakers has no competition in Egyptian universities, because it is the first and only one that aims to prepare a translator fluent in translation between his mother tongue and the Arabic language, and the program is a graduate who is able to compete in the labor market in his native country, or in Arabic speaking countries, in the fields of (translation / tourist guidance / economic market / diplomatic work ...)
She pointed out that the program consists of eight semesters consisting of 144 credit hours distributed between the courses of learning the Arabic language and translation, and it also allows the student the freedom to choose any language other than his mother tongue from the languages taught at Al-Alsun (16 foreign languages) to study alongside Arabic if he wants That, as well as providing the possibility of distance education when necessary.
She recently went on to point out that Al-Alsun College at Ain Shams University is distinguished by a distinct infrastructure, including air-conditioned classrooms for the program, phoneme laboratories and computer labs for students of the program, and Al-Alsun College is committed to providing postgraduate programs for graduates of the languages programs taught in it.
