The Minister of Higher Education announces the ISESCO Prize for Short Films

Prof. Dr.Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chairman of the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO, announced the launch of the Islamic World Organization for Education, Science and Culture ISESCO Prize for Short Films within its initiative (remote culture) within (ISESCO Short Films House).

The organization pointed out that the aim of launching this award is to stimulate creativity and discover talents, to spread a culture of peace, to encourage film production, and to create the ISESCO Digital Library for Short Films.

The organization explained that the prize areas are drama, documentation, heritage and folklore, human values, health and environment, children's films, daily life in the time of Corona, comedy.

The organization added that the prize is awarded for the best three short films as follows: (the first) 8 thousand dollars, (the second) 6 thousand dollars, (the third) 4 thousand dollars.

The organization set several conditions for the applicants to obtain the award, including: the duration of the show does not exceed 4 minutes, the film has not previously participated in another competition, not prejudice to human, religious and national values, the film includes a translation in one of the three languages of the organization, the film can be with natural and musical sounds Without words. ISESCO is to set up a specialized jury to select the winning short films, and the prizes will be handed over at a special ceremony in ISESCO headquarters in Rabat.
