The Faculty of Law Board holds its regular meeting in the presence of the Chairman of the State Litigation Authority and the First Undersecretary of the House of Representatives

The Board of the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University, held its regular meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of the vice deans and members of the board. The Dean of the Faculty opened the session, welcoming the members, congratulating the new academic year, and welcoming the five members who joined the board by election, namely Prof. Hamdi Abdel Rahman, Prof. Hossam Al-Din Al-Ahwani, Prof. Mohamed Al-Morsi Zahra, Prof. Al-Sayed Nayel, and Prof. Gamil Abdel-Baky.

         
   
         

Then the Dean of the Faculty welcomed His Excellency the Honorable Counselor Musaad Abdel Maksoud, Chairman of the State Litigation Authority, as a new member of the Faculty Board, stressing the Faculty’s pride in his leadership as one of its distinguished and distinguished graduates, adding that his extensive legal experience will enrich the discussions and contribute to finding practical solutions to the issues presented to the board.

The Dean of the Faculty also welcomed His Excellency the Honorable Counselor Ahmed Saad El-Din, First Undersecretary of the House of Representatives and Member of the Faculty Board for the third year in a row, and thanked His Excellency for his support of the Faculty and its development projects.

The Dean of the Faculty informed the members of the Faculty Board of the most important events that took place at the Faculty between the Board meetings, including the upcoming visit of the team of the National Authority for Quality Assurance of University Education and Accreditation, the Faculty’s preparations to receive it, the announcement of the Faculty’s magazine among the best hundred Arab magazines, and the Faculty’s successful partnership with the United Nations Law Commission. International trade, and the university board’s approval of the new study programs offered by the Faculty.

The Dean of the Faculty briefed the Board on the progress of the October term exams for the bachelor’s and postgraduate levels, and thanked all the faculty staff, their assistants and employees for their cooperation in making this term’s examinations a success, which are being conducted alongside the progress of studies in the three divisions.

The Board discussed at length the idea of strengthening the practical aspects of the academic curricula in addition to what already exists, such as the training court, the passage of which is a requirement for graduation, simulation models and mock trials in which the Faculty is a pioneer, and training in specialized courts in accordance with the cooperation protocol concluded between the Faculty and the Ministry of Justice, various state bodies, and major... Law offices, and the opinion was settled on continuing discussions on this important topic in the next session based on the new ideas presented by the Faculty administration.

The board also discussed issues of student affairs, graduate studies and research, community service and environmental development.
