Ain Shams University congratulates Dr. Hesham Omran for receiving the UNESCO Al-Fouzan International Award for Young Scientists and Researchers

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the University Awards Office, expressed their sincerely congratulations to Dr. Hesham Abdel Salam Omran, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, for receiving the UNESCO-Al Fozan International Award for Young Scientists Researchers for this year.

It is worth noting that Dr. Hesham Omran won the state encouragement award in the field of engineering sciences for the year 2020, and also received the Ain Shams University encouragement award in the field of engineering sciences (advanced technological sciences) for the year 2022, and that his research interests are concentrated in the design of analog and mixed integrated circuits, Especially in computer design systems.

Dr. Hesham Omran began his scientific career as a teaching assistant in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University in 2008, and participated in many industrial research activities, including the design of the first miniature spectrometer (NeoSpectra).

He was promoted to Assistant Lecturer in 2011 and traveled to Saudi Arabia, where he was a researcher at the Sensors Laboratory at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) until 2016. He also did an internship at Bosch Research and Technology Center in California - USA. 2016 He returned to the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, to complete his academic and research work until he reached the degree of Assistant Professor in the specialty.

Dr. Hesham Omran has developed and taught several advanced scientific courses in analog integrated circuit design, computer-assisted circuit design, analog integrated systems design, and digital integrated circuit design. This scientific content has also been made available on the Internet for free to researchers and industrial companies.

His Excellency published many international scientific researches and participated in many international conferences. He served as an arbitrator for many international journals and conferences.
