The Students' Union of the Faculty of Arts organizes competitions: "Memorizing and reciting the Holy Qur'an and Hadiths - Sword of Knowledge - Singing - Football"

The Student Union of the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University organized a variety of competitions: (memorizing the Noble Qur’an and hadiths - the sword of knowledge - singing - football), under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, and supervision of Mrs. Suha Al-Saba, Director of the Youth Welfare Department and the implementation of Helmy Ahmed, President of the Union, his deputy, Walaa Tayseer, and the secretaries of the committees and their assistants.

Prof. Hanan Kamel praised the high level of students’ performance and their keenness to compete and excel in all fields. She also called on them to show the ethics of honest competition, also called on them to prepare for the summer activities season with a set of distinguished and diverse project ideas, after the end of the year-end exams period.

         
   
         

The “Memorizing and Reciting the Noble Qur’an and the Hadiths of the Prophet” competition relied on testing the student’s ability to memorize 3, 5, or 7 parts of the Holy Qur’an, as well as memorizing and understanding the hadiths of the Prophet, as well as testing the quality of letter exits, sound pronunciation, adherence to the provisions and rules of intonation, self-confidence, and serious performance. Prof. Islam Al-Sharqawi, a professor in the Department of Arabic Language, assumed the arbitration of the competition, and about 30 students participated in it. The competition was implemented by the Secretary of the Cultural Committee, Salwa Amr, and its deputy, Daniel Samer.

         
   
         

Regarding the "Sword of Knowledge" competition, it was organized by the Scientific Committee at the Embassy of Knowledge, affiliated with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, located in the Faculty. 16 teams participated in the competition, and each team consisted of 4 students, and they were asked 5 questions about the general information for each team, and the first, second, and third places were announced immediately, and the arbitrator was Dr. Muhammad Tariq Al-Najjar from the Department of Arabic Language, the competition was implemented by the administration, Mrs. Ghada Ahmed and student Marwa Mohamed, Secretary of the Scientific Committee and her deputy, Hana Hatem.

         
   
         

As for the (singing) competition, it was set up by the technical committee, and the arbitration committee was chaired by Dr. Alaa Tayseer, and Ibrahim Abdul-Jabbar, supervisor of the “Rouh El-Sharq” team.

The evaluation items included: good appearance, commitment to the melody, good performance, sweetness and coloring of the voice, confident performance, and the quality of the outputs. The competition was implemented by the students of the technical committee, led by Muhammad Jamal Alwan, the secretary of the committee, and his deputy Youssef Muhammad Abdel Rahman, the competition was supervised by the administration, Mrs. Huda Abdel Hamid.

         
   
         

The federation also held a football tournament on the fields of the Faculty of Business over two days, where 16 teams competed for the tournament qualifiers, and the first, second, and third places were announced.

The competition was supervised by Mrs. Samar Kamel, from the administration staff, and from the students: Ahmed Mahmoud, Secretary of the Sports Committee, and his deputy, Dina Hussein.
