In cooperation with the electronic portal, the University Awards Office organizes its 33rd meeting with Prof. Mohamed Sayed Salama, former vice president of the university and recipient of prestigious awards

Based on Ain Shams University's keenness to achieve excellence and competition, and as a continuation of Ain Shams University's leadership in the field of awards through its pioneering and distinguished scholars in various fields, and to benefit from the practical experience of the prestigious award recipients, the University Awards Office continued its meetings, in cooperation with the electronic portal, and held its thirty-third meeting for recipients of prestigious local, regional and international awards, which was held at the headquarters of the Networking and Information Technology Center at the university on March 13, 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Islam Hegazy, Executive Director of the Center for Networking and Information Technology, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Director of the Electronic Portal, Prof. Alaa Abdel Halim Farag, General Supervisor of the Awards Office at the University.

The University Awards Office hosted Prof. Mohamed Sayed Salama, former Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, former Dean of the Faculty of Science, full-time professor in the Department of Entomology at the Faculty, and recipient of the Ain Shams University Appreciation Award for the year 2015 in the field of technological sciences and the State Encouragement Award 1994 in the field of basic sciences, and the Prize The Third World Academy of Sciences in 1994 in Italy, for his pioneering contributions during a long journey of giving in various fields, which included more than 150 international and local scientific research, and participation in many works of scientific supervision of master’s and doctoral theses for more than 200 theses and arbitration of more than 300 master’s theses And a doctorate in addition to the distinguished international and various local publishing and international conferences that amounted to nearly fifty conferences, and representing the Arab Republic of Egypt in negotiating some national projects, as well as the main researcher for many applied projects, as well as membership in many committees, and membership in the Basic Sciences Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, and other aspects of giving and excellence.

His Excellency praised the university's efforts in supporting scientific research and researchers, as well as its keenness to achieve excellence and leadership in all fields. His Excellency also extended his thanks and appreciation to the current university administration headed by Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, and all distinguished deputies, for the efforts made in all aspects of the university's sectors, and for honoring the distinguished in international publishing.

His Excellency concluded his speech with a message he addressed to the young researchers from the university to show more sincerity and mastery in work, insist on excellence and keenness to follow up on new developments in the field of scientific research in order to achieve the vision and mission of the university in excellence and leadership by obtaining prestigious awards that contribute to raising the global ranking of the university.
