Ain Shams University supports the national project to eradicate illiteracy under the slogan "A decent life without illiteracy"

Within the framework of Ain Shams University's keenness to participate in presidential initiatives and based on Egypt's strategic vision for the year 2030 and in implementation of the initiative of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and under the slogan of a decent life without illiteracy and declaring Egypt free of illiteracy by 2030, Ain Shams University launched a literacy project To erase the illiteracy of the most needy societal groups, raise the level of citizens who did not have the opportunity to learn in villages and governorates, and facilitate obstacles for them to obtain a level of education and awareness that fulfills national aspirations to improve the quality of life in these villages and governorates and spread education.

This is under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and with academic coordination, Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Center for Adult Education and Administrative Coordination, a. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Director General of the Office of the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Abu Al-Azm, Secretary of the Office of the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

   
   

The activities began with the opening of literacy classes for 65 learners from the workers of Ain Shams University as a first stage in the halls of the Republic Building in the university city, students through 19 students to teach from the various faculties of the university as follows: 4 students from the Faculty of Al-Alsun, 5 students from the Faculty of Girls and two students from the Faculty of Arts Two students from the Faculty of Business, two students from the Faculty of Law, two students from the Faculty of Specific Education, one student from the Faculty of Education, two supervisors from the Center for Adult Education, two supervisors from the Faculty of Arts, a coordinator from the Faculty of Specific Education, and 16 supervisors from university dormitories.

It is worth noting that literacy classes continue inside the halls of Ain Shams University during weekdays and official holidays.
