Discussing the ways of cooperation between Ain Shams University and the University of Michigan, USA

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, received, on Tuesday, February 21, at the Zaafaran Palace, Prof. Song Su, Assistant Director of the Institute of Global Health at the University of Michigan, USA, to discuss ways of cooperation between Ain Shams University and the University of Michigan.

The meeting was witnessed by Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at the University, Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector at the University, Prof. Rasha Khafagy, Director of the Quality Assurance Center at the University, Prof. Hiam Tantawi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Siham Gerges, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Neama Fathi Saad, Director of the International Cooperation Office at the Faculty of Nursing and Dr. Rania Abdel Raouf, Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts.

         
   
         

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini confirmed that Ain Shams University always opens its doors to cooperate with international universities in order to raise the scientific and research level in all research and scientific fields in the various faculties of the university, expressing his happiness in cooperation with the American University of Michigan.

During the meeting, His Excellency also reviewed some of the programs offered by the Faculty of Nursing at Ain Shams University.

For his part, Professor Song Soo, Assistant Director of the Institute of Global Health at Michigan State University in the United States of America, expressed his happiness at meeting the President of Ain Shams University to discuss ways of cooperation between the two universities in the scientific and medical fields, praising Ain Shams University for its distinguished scientific level in Egypt and the Middle East.

He explained that the University of Michigan has signed many cooperation protocols with some Egyptian universities, including the Faculty of Medicine of the Armed Forces

It is worth noting that a visit was made to the Faculty of Nursing, and the professor expressed his admiration for the faculty and all its facilities, including laboratories, a library, auditoriums, and classrooms equipped with the latest equipment.
