Children's University concludes its activities at Ain Shams University by visiting the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research

Prof. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research at Ain Shams University, received the delegations of children from the "Children's University" organized by Ain Shams University, during the period from January 28 to February 11, 2023, and it includes (80 children), under the supervision and coordination of Dr. Noha Al-Rafei, Deputy Director of the Grants and Projects Department and Coordinator of the Children's University at Ain Shams University.

The day witnessed a number of different events under the supervision of Prof. Reham Refaat, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Alaa Sarhan, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Huda Hilal, Director of the Green Transformation Unit, where children were trained on the Green Transformation Unit, in addition to a series of workshops that dealt with several areas, including "Biodiversity", during which Dr. Muhammad Kamel, a teacher at the Department of Basic Environmental Sciences, gave a lecture where he talked about organisms and plants and the impact of pollution on them.

         
   
         

And Dr. Shaima Mohamed, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Humanities, Dr. Safia Muhammad, a teacher at the Department of Environmental Education, conducted a workshop for children on environmental awareness, children's rights, and awareness of various environmental issues, and they surveyed children's opinions on it.

And Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, a teacher in the Environmental Engineering Department, and Dr. Hajar Nawar, a teacher at the Department of Basic Environmental Sciences, directed a workshop entitled "New Energy". Also, Dr. Amal Thabet discussed the carbon footprint, global warming, and climate change, while Prof. Reham Refaat gave a lecture on environmental games and how to rationalize water and electricity.

The certificates of the Young Climate Ambassador were distributed to the children at the end of the day's activities.

In order to ensure the safety of the children and follow up on the implementation of the program, and facilitate any difficulties facing the faculty coordinators, the Grants and Projects Management Team received the children in the Hilal Auditorium in the Faculty of Science and took them to and from the faculty and stayed with them throughout the day’s activities.
