The President of Ain Shams University and the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research honor the batch (30) of the international publication award recipients

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, honored the (30th) batch of recipients of the international publication award, which numbered (1078) male and female researchers, with a number of research papers (894) with a financial value of 6,888,000 pounds. The Faculty staff who published a chapter in a book, the Faculty staff and teaching assistants who published research in international journals with a Q1 rating were also honored in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Messrs. deans and vice-faculties.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, said that the celebration is a university tradition every six months in December and June of each year, pointing out that international publishing, applied and not just theoretical, has become no secret of its importance, adding that international publishing at Ain Shams University is witnessing tangible progress year after year and the fruits of this Progress does not appear directly in international rankings, but it does appear after a year or two. He justified this by the fact that international publishing has become a frantic and rapid race.

The president of the university clarified the conditions and dates for disbursing the reward, and he also reviewed graphs showing the increase in the reward and its budget to motivate researchers. The graphs showed an increase in articles published in the scientific journal.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini stressed in his speech the importance of paying attention to the quality of published research and the timing of its publication in appropriate scientific journals.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, emphasized that scientific research is one of the main roles of universities and is integrated with community service, environment development, education, and students, stressing that the achievements made in the field of scientific research at Ain Shams University will show its impact starting from This year is 2023, especially in the field of international rankings.

He added that the university administration provided all means of support to the researchers in addition to motivation and interest, praising the efforts made by the researchers and appealing to them to do more.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh stressed that we need to spread the culture of "international publishing" and pay attention to quality, with the need to develop a research plan for each The Faculty and department that takes into account the interest in international publishing and choose topics that keep pace with what the world thinks.

And the Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research announced that the subsequent batches of the international publication reward will be named after the pioneers of the university, faculties, and departments who have white hands on the university and the recipients of prestigious awards, pointing out that the next batch will bear the name of Prof. Dr. Saad El-Sayed is a professor of chemistry and recipient of the Nile Prize and international awards in the field of chemistry.

He praised the commendable competition between publishers and that it is good for the humanities and literary faculties to appear in the field of international publishing, pointing out that the Faculty of Science topped the list of internationally published research with (214) research, for (196) researchers, then the Faculty of Medicine with (149) researches. (359) researchers participated in them, and the Faculty of Pharmacy, the number of research papers (143) research with the participation of (117) researchers, the Faculty of Engineering (130) researcher, the number of research papers (128) research, the Faculty of Education (83) researcher the number of research papers (105) research, the Faculty of Girls (69) researcher with a number of research papers (59) research, the Faculty of Agriculture (57) researcher with a number of research papers (49), the Faculty of Dentistry (27) researcher with a number of research papers (17) research, the Faculty of Computers and Information (19) researcher with a number of research papers (10) research the Faculty of Al-Alsun (6) researchers with (7) research, the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research (6) researchers with (5) research papers, the Faculty of Commerce (4) researchers with (2) research papers, the Faculty of Arts (3) researchers with (3) research papers ) Research, the Faculty of Specific Education (1) researcher, number (2) research, the Faculty of Nursing (1) researcher, number (1) research.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh added that there is an increase in the number of faculty staff publishing a chapter in a book, as the Faculty of Pharmacy came in first place by publishing (14) chapters internationally, the Faculty of Science (8) chapters, the Faculty of Education (8) chapters, the Faculty of Engineering (5) chapters, the Faculty of Medicine ( 3), the Faculty of Girls (4), the Faculty of Arts (2), the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of computers, and information, a chapter in a book for each of them.

There was also an increase in faculty staff and teaching assistants who published research in Q1 magazines during the last six months with 35 researchers, including (7) researchers from the Faculty of Medicine, (6) researchers from the Faculty of Science, (6) researchers from the Faculty of Computers and Information (6) researchers from the Faculty of Engineering, (4) researchers from the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Girls (3) researchers, the Faculty of Dentistry (2) researchers, and finally the Faculty of Agriculture one researcher.
