The Minister of Higher Education issues a decision to renew the assignment of Prof. Dr. Atef Al-Awam, Advisor to the Minister for Financial Affairs

Dr. issued Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, issued a decision to renew the assignment of Dr. Atef Al-Awam, Professor of Accounting and Auditing at the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University, as Advisor to the Minister of Financial Affairs.

It is worth noting that Dr. Atef Al-Awam obtained a PhD in Accounting from Ain Shams University, and lectured at many local and international universities. He also supervised many theses in Egypt and abroad.

He also occupied Dr. Atef Al-Awam held many scientific and administrative positions, including; Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, Advisor to the Investment and Securities Policies Sector at the Ministry of Commerce, Director of the Health and Social Welfare Fund for Faculty Members at Universities, Director of the Project for Establishing the Investment Zone at Ain Shams University in Obour, and the Student Evaluation and Exams Project at the University Ain Shams, and the project of student participation in environmental activities at Ain Shams University, as well as the work of Dr. Al-Awam as an arbitrator expert in the field of quality projects at the Supreme Council of Universities, Secretary of the Commercial Studies Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities, Fellow of the Egyptian Association of Accountants and Auditors, Supervisor of the Quality and Performance Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University, Member of the Values Court, and Member of the team preparing the strategic plan for the application of quality at the University Ain Shams.

He also held the position of a member of the Board of Directors of the Serum and Vaccine Company " VACSERA", and a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Company for Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Supplies "ACDIMA". He has many researches in the areas of developing the accounting system for insurance companies, government accounting standards, and the role of expert systems in developing the efficiency of auditing. He published many books on the basics of accounting, accounting information systems, consolidated financial statements of holding companies, corporate accounting, bank accounting, management accounting, government accounting system, computer operating systems, accounting information systems in service establishments, and financial statements of holding companies.
