The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at Ain Shams University provides technical support for the Psychology Program at the Faculty of Arts

Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, received Prof. Dr. Imad Mukhaimer, former Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Zagazig University and Professor of Psychology, in order to provide technical support for the Bachelor of Psychology program with the Credit Hours System, in the presence of Dr. Huwaida Abdel Hamid, Director of the Performance Evaluation and Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty.

The visit was sponsored by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, supervised by Prof. Dr. Rasha Khafagy, Director of the Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation at the University.

He was received in the Department of Psychology by Prof. Dr. Rasha El-Dedy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Professor of Psychology, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khattab, Head of Department, Dr. Nisreen Amir, Deputy Director of the Quality Unit and the professors from the faculty members and their assistants in the department. Prof. Dr. Imad Mukhaimer reviewed the program accreditation files for the program, which are divided into two axes: The axis of program management includes three criteria, and the axis of educational effectiveness includes eight criteria. The person in charge of each criterion presented the attachments related to its criterion. The attendees benefited from his valuable remarks, and His Eminence expressed his appreciation for the efforts made.

The visit aims to verify whether the applied criteria are met or not to grant the program accreditation. The visit lasted 6 hours.

Prof. Dr. Emad Mukhaimer pointed to the efforts made by the department and appreciated the efforts of the quality officials and those responsible for each standard. He also directed some remarks to the department and noted the department's ability to make simple adjustments in a very short period of time.

He pointed to some of the advantages that distinguish the Department of Psychology in Ain Shams Arts from other corresponding departments, especially in light of the presence of the psychological clinic.
