The Faculty of Archeology of Ain Shams holds the thirteenth council of the Faculty

On Monday 12/12/2022 AD, the Council of the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University held its thirteenth monthly meeting in the Faculty Council Hall, headed by Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawy, Dean of the Faculty, the membership of Prof. Dr. Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, heads of scientific departments, and gentlemen members of the Council.

The members of the Council congratulated Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, for the issuance of the Republican decision to appoint him as dean of the Faculty of Archeology, with wishes of success and reimbursement in order to advance the Faculty and raise its status.

   
   

In turn, Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his thanks and great gratitude to all members of the Council, with an emphasis on working together to achieve goals and objectives. Then, he moved on to discussing the topics of the meeting, including approving the minutes of the previous session.

With regard to the education and student affairs sector, His Excellency discussed with the Council the criteria and specifications for the end of the first semester exams, the formation of examination committees for the academic year 2022/2023, the guide to the rules governing control work and examination procedures, the proposed dates for the start of studies and exams for the academic year 2023/2024, and the conditions for transfers of higher teams. And the division of the departments of the faculty and the conditions for admission to the new programs, the numbers proposed to be accepted for the new academic year.

   
   

And by moving the discussions to the sectors of postgraduate studies and community service, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Shawky, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies, in the session several topics, most notably: the registrations of some students for the master’s and doctoral degrees, the gifting of some books by the faculty library from the Standing Committee for the Antiquities Sector, and the project management work plan for the current month.

And Dr. Rania Zaidan, Director of the Quality Unit at the Faculty, discusses various topics, including approving the distinctive features of scientific programs, approving graduate specifications and fields of work after graduation, and approving the formation of a committee to prepare the academic advising guide.
