The Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association honors distinguished professors and alumni

The Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty, hosted the celebration of the Graduates Association of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, headed by Engineer Tarek Al-Nabarawy, President of the Engineers Syndicate, to honor distinguished professors and graduates, in the presence of Ahmed Zaki Badr, the former Minister of Local Development, Abdel-Kawi Khalifa, Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation Utility, and the former Governor of Cairo, Prof. Sherif Hammad, former Minister of Scientific Research, Prof. Hadia Al-Hinnawi, former dean of the faculty, Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Ain Shams University Alumni Associations, Prof. Amr Shaat, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ahmed Munib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Eng. Khaled Mahdi, Secretary General of the Ain Shams Engineering Graduates Association, and a group of members of the association, faculty staff and students.

The celebration witnessed the honoring of a number of public figures, graduates of the faculty and professors who received state and Ain Shams University appreciation and encouragement awards, as well as scientific excellence awards at the world level.

Among the honorees were Eng. Mohamed Sami Saad, President of the Egyptian Federation of Construction and Building Contractors, Eng. Nafisa Hashem, Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Head of the Utilities Sector, and Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khamis, Secretary General of the Federation of Investors Associations and President of the 6th of October Investors Association.

At the top of the list of honorees among the faculty’s professors was Dr. Diaa Abdel Maged Khalil, recipient of the State Appreciation Award in Engineering Sciences for the year 2021, recipients of the Ain Shams University Appreciation Award for this year, Prof. Amr Ali Abdel Rahman, Prof. Tamer Abdel Fattah El Nady, and The late Prof. Emad El-Din Hegazy and the recipients of the Ain Shams University Encouragement Award, Dr. Muhammad Kohail, Dr. Hesham Abdel Salam Omran, and the professors who received scientific production awards, Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Taha, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim Marei, and Prof. Abdel-Al Mantawy , and Prof. Hani Hassanein, and Prof. Ahmed Munib Al-Sabbagh, in addition to the ASU wind team that won the highest annual energy production award in the international competition in the Netherlands last May, and the ENACTUS team that won the first prize in the world in the competition that was held in Puerto Rico last month, and the student Aya Negm The student at the preparatory level in the faculty’s antiprograms, who won the gold medal in the African Open Paralympic Weightlifting Championship in October past 2022.

The association is one of the oldest associations of graduates of faculties of engineering and has been established since 1989 and carries out its activities represented in loyalty to the faculty, professors and alumni.

The concert was performed by Eman Shaker and Friends, which is performing at the Cairo Opera House.
