Coinciding with the International Day for People with Special Needs, the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, organized a workshop entitled "Instilling Egyptian Handicrafts and Industries with Inspiring Models of Will, Determination, and Challenge" under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environment Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashed, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Alaa El Din Abdel Halim Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Safaa Shehata, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. Rabab Al-Sayed, a trainer in various handicrafts from the Ministry of Education, and an Egyptian trainer and artist of people of determination. Karim Ahmed has won many medals and honors in the field of handicraft and artistic training.

         
   
         

The workshop witnessed a large and varied attendance of students. In the beginning, a presentation was made on the most important illustrative models of the various beadworks that were presented in the workshop. The students were divided into groups, a leader for each group was identified, and the necessary materials and tools were distributed in preparation for work on all work groups, then followed by an explanation of the steps for each group. A group with their follow-up, answering all questions from the trainers, providing the required technical support, specifying the time required for work, and following up on everything that has been implemented Mrs. Rabab Al-Sayed, and on the other side of the workshop, the focus was on making handicrafts such as making rosaries, medals, bedspreads, and roses of various shapes and colors, as well as making knitted crafts, accessories, and other creative artistic handicrafts through the talented trainer and artist Mr. Karim is a person with Special Needs who has won many honorary medals due to his distinction.

At the end of the workshop, it was confirmed that the students mastered the handicrafts that they were trained to manufacture using simple materials and depend on the reuse of materials as well as recycling, which qualifies them to be able to manufacture various handicrafts. The students expressed their admiration for the workshop and demanded the necessity of repeating such a type of useful workshop.

         
   
         

In conclusion, the organizers of the workshop were honored, and are Mrs. Rabab Al-Sayed, and the creative artist Karim Ahmed from the faculty administration, in appreciation of their efforts throughout the training period in the workshop and the outstanding feedback of the working groups in the workshop.
