Climatic day and its relationship to soil quality... A symposium at the Faculty of Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture, Beni Suef University, and with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Egypt, and in celebration of World Soil Day, organized a symposium ((Climate change and its relationship to soil quality)) on the occasion of the celebration of World Soil Day corresponding to 5/12/2022 In partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Egypt.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan Ahmed, President of Beni Suef University, and Prof. Dr. Abdullah Sayed Hussein, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Beni Suef University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, in the presence of a group of faculty staff, students of Ain Shams University and students of Beni Suef University.

         
   
         

Many scientific lectures were delivered that discussed raising awareness of the importance of soil and how to preserve it in the face of climate change. The lectures included experts in the field, including Dr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim, a climate change, and environment expert, at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for the Near East and North Africa (Climate Changes and Soil Health: Examples from the Near East and North Africa) and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Issa Ahmed, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, and a consultant for environmental and atmospheric sciences. A lecture entitled Climate Change and Green Egypt, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Qutb, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Community Service and Environmental Development, Beni Suef University. Lecture titled: The History of Adaptation to Climate Change in Egypt, Prof. Dr. Sami Abdullah, Professor of Lands, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Lecture Title: Lands and Environmental Footprint.
