International publishing in the field of law... A workshop at the Faculty of Law

In the interest of the Faculty of Law, Ain Shams University to enhance its leading role in the fields of research and scientific publishing, and in the implementation of the university's vision, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Safi, Dean of the Faculty, it was Organizing a workshop under the title "International Publication in the Field of Law" in cooperation with the Elsevier Foundation, the first publishing house in the world, which is the pioneering initiative at the level of Egyptian law faculties.

The workshop was presented by Eng. Khaled Shaalan, Research Solutions Consultant and Regional Director of Elsevier in Egypt and North Africa.

The activities of this workshop come under the auspices and fruitful cooperation between the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Sector and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yassin Mohamed Tharwat El Shazly, Professor of Commercial and Maritime Law and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and coordinated by Dr. Fatima Galal, Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Law.

The two-day workshop dealt with international publishing literature, how to choose an internationally listed research journal, the ethics of extracting and scientific publishing, and how to convert a research thesis into an article.

The symposium was attended by a number of faculty staff and faculty's teaching assistants, and a group of researchers from postgraduate programs at the Faculty.
