The participation of the children of the Center for the Care of People with Special Needs at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood in the celebration of the Greater Cairo Library, the International Volunteer Day for our children with special abilities

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Jabali, Dean of the Graduate School of Childhood Studies, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahki, Director of the Center for the Care of People with Special Needs, the children of the Center for the Care of People with Special Needs at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood at Ain Shams University participated in the International Volunteer Day celebration organized by the Greater Cairo Library in cooperation with the Egypt Cultural Project Foundation and the Mim Cultural Group initiative. The celebration included a series of workshops The most important of which is a workshop for the management of voluntary institutions, a workshop entitled Teaching the Arts of Photography, a workshop entitled How to Establish Voluntary Initiatives and the Legal and Procedural Frameworks for that, and a workshop entitled Volunteering, Training and Humanitarian Work within International Institutions.

         
   
         

For its part, the Mim Group organized a series of workshops for children, drawing coloring, and intelligence games, and the library honored some pioneers of volunteer work in Egypt.

It is worth noting that the United Nations General Assembly, in its resolution 40/212, called on governments to celebrate annually the International Volunteer Day on December 5, 1985, for economic and social development, and urged them to take measures to raise awareness of the importance of the contribution of voluntary service, and thus motivate more people from all walks of life are encouraged to offer their services as volunteers both in their home countries and abroad.

The fun team was also honored in recognition of their efforts, and it was received by Mr. Osama Mounir, secretary at the Special Needs Care Center.

Our children from the Center for People with Special Needs at the Graduate School of Childhood Studies at the university participated in a show and a motor performance show with the participation of the children’s mothers and the fun team, entitled (We Can Do It).
