Faculty of Al-Alsun hosts the Ministry of Health's blood donation campaign

The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population represented by the National Center for Blood Transfusion and the Cairo Rotary Club for Peace, an expanded campaign to donate blood on the Faculty campus over two days, November 13 and 14, 2022.

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the effective cooperation between the Faculty and the Ministry of Health and Population comes within the framework of community service and preserving the Egyptian state's stock of blood in the context of the successive events in our homeland.

Prof. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, confirmed that the Ministry of Health and Population ensured the provision of a car equipped with the latest devices, and it was completely sterilized, taking all safety and security measures to preserve the health of donors, provided that the car is in front of the Faculty campus from ten in the morning until four in the afternoon.

And 76 bags of pure blood were obtained in cooperation with the National Blood Bank and under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.
