Mathematics .. and the greatness of the Creator in the universe .. a lecture at the Faculty of Science

The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University organized a lecture entitled "Mathematics and the Greatness of the Creator in the Universe", under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rajaa Muhammad al-Sutuhi, Dean of the Faculty and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amani Suleiman Khaled, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, attended by Prof. Dr. Sami Al-Shabouri, Professor of Applied Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University.

The lecture witnessed a great turnout from those interested in the field, faculty staff, and researchers in the Faculty. Dr. Sami Al-Shabouri, at the beginning of the lecture, said that we live in a vast universe with its borders, and this is what the scientist "Einstein" emphasized and that the universe is revolving around itself as a ball.

The Earth on which we live is about 150 million kilometers away from the sun, which is about eight light minutes and (18 million kilometers per light minute).

The closest star to Earth after the sun is the Centauri star, which is 4.2 light years away from us (a light year is 9.64 trillion km), or about 265,000 times as far as the sun is from us, and Sirius is 9 light years away, then the star of the bird is 14.5 light years away. It has a beginning and no end.

In many places, the Holy Qur’an mentioned the planets and stars, especially the sun, the earth, and the moon, and the difference between night and day, and this is the miracle of the Holy Qur’an.

Prof. Dr. Sami Al Shabouri discussed the galaxies, where scientists estimate the number of galaxies at more than one hundred million galaxies and we live in the Milky Way or the Milky Way. One end of the larger diameter and we divide it in a ratio of 4:1.

He confirmed that the closest galaxy to us is the Serial Mirror Galaxy, which is about 700,000 light-years away from our galaxy and takes the shape of a spiral. Professor Dr. Sami Al-Shabouri defined the meaning of the term "nebula", as a mass of dust between stars.

Prof. Dr. Sami Al-Shabouri mentioned that the weight of the globe weighs about 6 million trillion tons, mentioning its speed around its axis and its speed around the sun, and the difference between the two radii of the earth at the equator and the poles, stressing that the earth is oval. At the end of the lecture, he discussed the phenomenon of lunar eclipses, when they occur, what types of lunar eclipses are, and why the moon is not completely dark in the event of a total eclipse and explained how to launch communications satellites and the duration of their orbit around the Earth.
