Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Amr Shaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, the Graduate Studies and Research Sector and the Office of International Cooperation at the Faculty of Engineering - Ain Shams University organized a workshop entitled "Qualification for the IELTS Test".
The workshop came in cooperation with the University Scholarships Office and the British Council, and the activities of the workshop began on Saturday morning, October 29, 2022, in the Grand Celebration Hall at the Faculty of Engineering.
The registration witnessed a huge turnout of Faculty staff, teaching assistants, international program students, and undergraduate students.
Registration was accepted for 630 participants to attend the workshop. The International Cooperation Office at the Faculty of Engineering and the University's Scholarships Sponsorship Office communicated with the candidates to attend via e-mail in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The workshop came within the framework of Ain Shams University’s keenness to qualify the Faculty staff and their assistants at the university for international representation at all levels of education and scientific research and to enhance the role of the graduate studies and research sector at the Faculty of Engineering in developing the skills of students and researchers and improving language and research skills that allow graduates to represent the university in all countries the scientist.
Mr. Samer Fadel, Director of Business Development at the British Council, and Mr. Adam Ahl, a trainer and IELTS expert at the British Council gave a lecture in the workshop.
The workshop included an explanation of the various sources and testing services provided, strategies for preparing for the exam in its four parts, and a review of the types of common questions in the exam.
