The success of the evacuation experiment for the building of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood and the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research

The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood organized a mock eviction experiment for the Faculty building, in coordination with the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research, on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Prof. Dr. Alaa Sarhan, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

Lt. Col. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Hamid _ Director of the Civil Defense Department at the university.

In cooperation with:

Prof. Asst. Dr. Moamen Gabr - Head of the Crisis and Inheritance Unit at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Childhood.

Prof. Abdul Khaliq Ahmed _ Head of the Civil Defense Unit at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Childhood.

Prof. Khaled Anwar - Head of the Security Unit at the Faculties of Higher Studies for Childhood and the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research, and the security team in both faculties.

The experiment was a great success, as the evacuation experiment was carried out at exactly eleven in the morning, and the Faculty staff, teaching assistants, administrators, employees, and students of the Faculty participated in it.

The evacuation process took 7 minutes (11.03 - 11.10).

1 ambulance has arrived in full readiness, making sure that there are no obstacles in the escape corridors and emergency stairs.

The sirens were sounded in preparation for the evacuation of the building completely, then the evacuation group entered its locations and directed those in the building to the emergency stairs, warning them not to scramble and guiding them to the safe places (assembly points) that were identified in advance and to make sure that the building was completely empty and the doors of the offices were closed and there were no people inside.

The students and staff responded to the instructions issued regarding the evacuation process and the understanding of the tasks of the members of the evacuation group, with no injuries or accidents during the evacuation.
