Major General Staff Naji Shahoud, former Director of Military Intelligence and Adviser at Nasser Military Academy gave a lecture with the presence of Dr. Dina Al Manzlawy, coordinator of the symposium, member of the Community Service and Environment Committee at the Faculty of Agriculture, Secretary of the Professionals of the Defenders of the Nation Party and Chairman of the Committee Environment Rotary Editorial Club.

In his speech, Mr. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the College, welcomed the attendees, congratulating the Arab nation and the Egyptian people on the eternal anniversary of the Great October War, noting that this symposium came within the framework of Ain Shams University’s celebrations of the 49th anniversary of the glorious October victories.

He also praised the role of the great Egyptian people with all their sects at a time when the whole world agreed that it was impossible that the Egyptian army crossing the Suez Canal and liberating the land under the auspices of the United States of America for Israel to enable it to be militarily superior to the Egyptian side, where there were American supplies to Israel with the latest advanced weapons to enable it to overcome on the old Russian weapon, but who made the difference are the Egyptians themselves. Here the equation changes in front of the Egyptian faith and the emergence of the precious metal in distress and the sacrifice of precious and souls for Egypt. He praised A. Dr. Ahmed Galal with the Arab support that Egypt received from its Arab brothers.

He also urged the youth of Egypt to preserve their homeland, as did the previous ones, because they are the bearers of the banner of the present and the future, and you are the ones who carry his banner in all aspects of life, whether he is a soldier in the battle, a student of knowledge, a teacher, an engineer, a doctor, or a worker. Everyone on its land is a soldier, for Egypt is all one army. With one hand, whoever cultivates the land fights and strives in his field, and if Egypt calls, he responds to the call and takes up his arms, and so all the sons of Egypt are the ones who show their minerals in times of crisis.

He also advised his students not to get carried away by rumors, discouragers, and those who spread their negative energies and try to spread frustration and despair among the youth. Egypt is always strong, with its young people, with their minds and arms. In front of the whole world, Egypt has become an essential and influential part in international equations. Everyone knows the Value of Egypt, thanks to its Lord, and the blessings and its mighty human wealth will be the locomotive of development for it.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Hisham Al-Hariri congratulated the honorable presence of the October victories, and that Egypt has proven to the whole world that no one can drop its banner. Complete the march and achieve victory, each in his position.

His Excellency pointed out that the student has a role in supporting his country and that he has ideas and creativity that he may implement and take the lead in to benefit Egypt and the whole world, and he praised the honored students at the college in several forums for their excellence and brilliance.

In his speech, Major General Naji Shahoud said that the Egyptian people are the owner of victory in 1973, and the armed forces are an integral part of the people, and the army and police implement the will and orders of the people to protect the homeland, which took the decision to war against the enemy immediately after the setback after the statement of the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser. What was taken by force can only be recovered by force.” It is the people who refused to surrender, so the Egyptian soldiers began carrying out operations deep inside the Sinai against the enemy’s targets by land, sea, and air as well, and the soldier who witnessed the defeat of 1967 is the same who achieved victory in the October War.

He pointed out that the late President Mohamed Anwar Sadat surprised the whole world with the decision of war, because the major countries believed that the solution should be political, even though what happened in 1967 in full view and hearing from all countries of the world was not political and how the Egyptian people and army managed to dazzle world and forcing everyone to respect the will of the Egyptians.

Major General Naji Shahoud said that the Egyptian people in 1973 wrote history, and after 2011 continued to write history, in a way that dazzled the whole world, especially that after the 1973 war and the Arabs united, the world realized that the Middle East must disintegrate due to its danger to America and Europe, and therefore attempts were made to overthrow the Arab countries. Under the name of the Arab Spring revolutions, but the Egyptian people were the wall against these plans, most notably the plan that aims to “separate the Sinai” from Egypt with several attempts, up to 7 attempts, since 1956.

He praised the Bedouins of the people of Sinai who set an example of sacrifice to liberate the land, stressing the alignment of the Egyptians behind their homeland, and the work of the security services in the state, as well as the efforts of President Sisi in the war he launched against terrorism in Sinai under the name of the comprehensive operation, to eliminate any organizations or groups Aiming to destabilize the security and stability of the eastern gate.

Then His Excellency addressed the fourth and fifth generation of wars, which are more dangerous than weapons wars, because they play with the minds of young people through the media, which have become an epidemic that puts poison in honey, targeting the minds of young people and trying to spread the spirit of despair, frustration, and hatred among the people. The media and that behind them are electronic committees that work in a systematic way, so that they desecrate the sanctity of religions. There are supplications, remembrances and hymns that are circulated without reviewing to see if they are true or carry wrong ideas aimed at sedition and distrust of leaders, so they are good at putting poison in honey, and we must review what we read before we publish it and to take the information from the right source.
