Former French Minister of Culture delivers an international award to Ain Shams University at the International Short Film Festival in Tunis

Ain Shams University participated under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs at the International Student Film Festival in Tunis. The film was chosen for the official participation of Mahmoud Ibrahim Ramadan. The festival has received the Best Film Award from among the seven films that have won the festival awards out of 41 participating films, to more than 24 countries around the world.

Former French Minister of Culture, Frederic Mitterrand, presented the award to Mahmoud Ramadan along with representatives from the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education, critics and writers from the Middle East and several countries of the world. This is the second participation for the second consecutive year of Ain Shams University in this international festival, which is witnessing competition between professionals from around the world.

The awards were as follows: Best Picture of Zakaria from Spain

Best Sound Award for "Maryam" from Ain Shams University in Egypt directed by Mahmoud Tantawi

Best Film Editor of "Helouas" from Tunisia

Best Actor Award for "The Blue Whale" from the Czech Republic

Best documentary film "Al Rahi" from Tunisia

Bronze Award for best film, Vitor from Malta

Best Film Award Silver Award from Columbia film Deselfo

Golden Award for the film "Siamond Weeping" from Belgium.
