The Faculty of Science hosts a meeting of the Basic Sciences Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities for the first time in the faculty’s history

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Science at the university hosted the meeting of the Basic Sciences Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, for the first time in the history of the faculty. The committee includes deans of science faculties and institutes and experts in basic science disciplines in Egyptian universities, and faculties of environmental studies at the level of Republic universities.

During his speech, he welcomed Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, gentlemen of the audience, and thanks and appreciation to the leaders of the Faculty of Science represented by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ragaa Al-Sutohi and the deputies for hosting the meeting of the Basic Sciences Committee. He also praised the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University, one of the most prestigious faculties that deserves all support and appreciation for its stature and hardworking minds that have a tangible imprint.

He added that the basic sciences sector is one of the important sectors within the Supreme Council of Universities, which we should pay more attention to. In light of the rapid changes, basic sciences have become the greatest common denominator among various other disciplines in all areas and aspects of life.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa Al-Sutohi, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the meeting is being hosted for the first time in Ain Shams University, which is considered a precedent by the university, led by Prof. It includes all the study included in the sector in the field of basic sciences such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology and earth sciences, noting that the meeting’s agenda includes all topics related to faculties of basic sciences, faculties of community service and environmental development.

The meeting was held in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa Al-Sutuhi, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Amani Suleiman, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Eman Abdel Azim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and a group of deans of science faculties in Egyptian universities and specialists in the field.
