The Faculty of Arts welcomes new and old students for the new year

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty held a reception for new and old students on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2022/2023 at Gherbal Coliseum.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Prof. Dr. Shereen Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Heads of Departments: Prof. Dr. Manal Muharram, Head of the Arabic Language Department, Prof. Dr. Eman Muhammad Al-Baqari, Head of the English Department, Prof. Dr. Samia Gomaa, Head of the Hebrew Department, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamed, Head of Oriental Languages ​​Department, Prof. Dr. Hanan Salem, Head of the Sociology Department, Prof. Dr. Moawad Badawi, Head of the Geography Department and Director of the Information Technology Unit, Prof. Dr. Khaled Hussein, head of the history department, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Head of Library and Information Department, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khattab, Head of the Department of Psychology, and the supervision of Mrs. Neamat Khalifa, Director of Youth Welfare Department, with the participation of the Faculty Students’ Union.

In her opening speech to a large gathering of new and old Faculty students, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel students to participate in the various activities of the Students’ Union: social, artistic, sports, cultural and artistic, scientific and roving, along with interest in study and lectures, as these activities aim to integrate students into society and unleash their energies, in order to deepen the values ​​of belonging to the homeland.

She also praised the wonderful singing performance of the Faculty choir team, which presented collective and individual singing, and the performance of the national anthem and a number of national and heritage songs.

Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel indicated that the student activities program prepared by the Education and Student Affairs Sector is full of competitions, competitions and seminars that seek to develop students' abilities to think creatively, and enhance their teamwork spirit.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Sheren Mazloum, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, students need to see through the Faculty library, which provides a huge amount of studies, books and scientific theses, as well as interacting with the digital library service, and obtaining information and alerts from its official source, such as the website and the official page of the Faculty.

In their words, the heads of the departments unanimously agreed that the Faculty students have plenty of luck to join the Faculty, which offers a refined and enlightened educational thought, and because of its prominent role in graduating generations of thinkers and experts in the various disciplines it offers, asking God for success and continued success.
