Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein Al-Abidin, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, the activities of the "Qualification for IELTS Test" workshop, organized by the Scholarships Welfare Office at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Dentistry and the British Council, have ended.
The workshop comes within the framework of Ain Shams University’s keenness to qualify the faculty members and their assistants at the university for international representation at all levels of education and scientific research and to enhance the role of the graduate studies and research sector in developing the skills of students, researchers and faculty members and improving language and research skills that allow graduates to represent the university in major international universities.
The workshop was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abu Khalaf, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarships Welfare Office at the university.
The workshop witnessed a high turnout from faculty members in the various faculties, as a number of 178 faculty members and assistant staff registered for the workshop within days.
The workshop was attended by a large number of postgraduate students, faculty members and the supporting staff at the Faculty of Dentistry, in addition to a number of faculty members from the faculties of science, medicine, nursing, arts, postgraduate studies for childhood, engineering, and education.
The workshop lasted for 4 consecutive hours and dealt with the various aspects related to the test in its different parts, including a detailed explanation of the exam preparation strategies, a review of the different types of questions in the exam, with a detailed training presentation for the attendees during the sessions of the different parts of the exam presented by Mr. Adam Ahel - IELTS expert at the British Council. During this time, all precautionary measures were implemented to confront the Corona virus.
Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abu Khalaf, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, expressed his happiness for hosting the workshop, saying, "There is happiness among faculty members and the supporting staff in this workshop, especially in light of the increasing number of faculty members who have received scholarships and scholarships to obtain master's and doctoral degrees from universities." Then, His Excellency announced his desire to host this workshop for future times.
The Scholarships Welfare Office holds IELTS workshops on a monthly basis in the university faculties in the light of skills development and upgrading of language and research skills for students, researchers and faculty members to join missions and grants offered by the state to Egyptian universities and academic institutes to study and conduct research in the best universities in the world.
