Professor of Nutrition at the Faculty of Agriculture receives the Geneva Prize for Inventions

Dr. Hani Mahmoud Gado, Professor of Nutrition at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, revealed the details of receiving the Geneva International Prize for Inventions, saying that the award he received for ZAD TECHNOLOGY "started work in 1999, which is a technology based on the use of types of bacteria.", enzymes, and some other things, with the aim of improving the nutritional value of animal food items.

Dr. Hani Mahmoud Gado added, during a call via “Zoom” to the “Good Morning Egypt” program, broadcast on the “Egyptian Channel One” satellite channel, that these modified substances are given to the animal at a rate of only 10 grams per day per head of cattle, which gives an increase in production about 200 grams of meat, and 2 liters of milk from the production of cows.

He added that this technology is being transferred from the research stage to the application stage within the cultivation of Ain Shams, adding: "We contacted the Ministry of Agriculture to register this product commercially, and a number of them were registered and applied in the Egyptian and foreign markets."

He explained that the product can be used for sheep, poultry, ducks, cats, dogs and fish, and it works by helping the animal to produce better digestive enzymes.

And he added: Feasibility studies conducted on Egyptian farms indicated that fattening rates increased by 300 grams per head per day.
