Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Environmental Development and Community Service, The Employment Center at Ain Shams University has started its summer programs since the beginning of July, which lasts until the end of September 2022, and consists of a variety of programs and services for students and graduates of Ain Shams University, including the job skills development program, summer training, job opportunities and sponsorship of graduation projects.
Among these activities is the Job Skills Development Program, which was prepared specifically to develop the job skills of university students and graduates to enable them to enter the labor market.
Through these courses, participants were able to:
Discover their values and how they shape their behaviors.
Develop their effective communication in the workplace.
Develop their abilities to present themselves and their ideas professionally.
Teach them the basic skills needed to land a job such as resume, interview and job search strategies.
Develop effective teamwork and collaboration skills
These courses were organized in coordination with the Department of Ain Shams University Alumni Associations under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, and the Expatriates Department under the leadership of Prof. Sherwat Al-Ahmadi. These courses were held at the headquarters of the Employment Center located in the university city.
These courses were presented by a group of center experts who were keen to prepare these courses specifically to keep pace with the needs of the labor market. They are Mrs. Farah Tarek - Deputy Director of the Center for Career Education and Guidance, Mr. Ahmed Salah - Functional Education Counselor, Dr. Ola Sami - Functional Education Counselor, and Prof. Alaa Nair - Career Education Coordinator by providing 420 hours of training.
The Career Center will continue to offer this program until the beginning of the academic year for students and graduates of the various Ain Shams faculties.
The Career Center at Ain Shams University aims to rehabilitate and empower university students and graduates to be distinguished and exceptional career cadres in the labor market by providing a variety of services, especially career education programs, which aim to provide training and guidance programs to develop career skills and career path skills for students and graduates in addition to learning programs through the experience, which aims to provide opportunities for summer internships, training with experienced staff, field visits and job opportunities for students and graduates.
The center also organizes employment events, the most recent of which was the annual employment forum of Ain Shams University, which was organized last April and was attended by more than 15,000 students and graduates from the university's children and with the participation of 59 companies.
