Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and headed by Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and within the framework of the "Dignified Life" initiative launched by the political leadership to develop the most needy Egyptian countryside, and based on the pioneering role of Ain Shams University in the field of development and slum development, coordination was made with the Ministry of Planning and Sawiris Foundation for Social Development for a field visit to the Governorate of South Sinai. The visit included the village of Al-Wadi, Tor Sinai Center, the village of the Abu Rudeis Center Office, the village of Grendel, the Abu Zenima Center, and the village of Wadi Assal, the Saint Catherine Center.
The visit included meetings with the residents of the villages in the presence of representatives from the directorates of social solidarity, education, and health, to find out the development needs and conduct an exploratory study to determine the needs of the villages and the most important interventions required, to unify the efforts of all parties (Ain Shams University, Ministry of Planning, Sawiris Foundation) and reach An effective initiative that plays a leading role in supporting poor families and upgrading the villages of South Sinai.
The visit was made by the representative of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Gehan Ragab, Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business, Ain Shams University, and advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
