Ain Shams University organizes a summit for people with special needs during the mid-year vacation

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviewed a report submitted by Dr. Muhammad Latif, Secretary of the Supreme Board of Universities, about the meeting of the Supreme Board for Education and Student Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Deputy Minister for University Affairs, and members of the Board, at the headquarters of the Supreme Board of Universities at Cairo University.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Latif congratulated Dr. Louay Saad El-Din Nasrat, on the occasion of his appointment as Vice President of Aswan University for Education and Student Affairs, wished him and the university further progress and prosperity, and achieving achievements in the education and student affairs sector.

On his part, Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, media advisor and official spokesperson for the ministry, said that the Board discussed, during its meeting, the proposed timetables for government universities during the coming period, for awareness programs and activities aimed at developing university youth awareness of all the challenges facing the country, as well as student activities at the university level, stressing the importance of these activities. ; As one of the most important foundations of the educational system in universities; For its role in forming the students’ integrated personality, instilling the value of volunteer work, and teamwork among students.

The spokesperson added that the Board reviewed the achievements of government universities in the education and student affairs sector for the second semester of the academic year 2022/2021, which included organizing 3,103 student activities, with the participation of 705830 students, and 163 training courses to rehabilitate the academic community in the face of violence, extremism and corruption, with the participation of 158,040 students, and 790 courses In the field of digital transformation, with the participation of 29,438 trainees, as for the services provided to students with disabilities, the number of beneficiaries reached 5595 students, as well as the Rehabilitation Project for those who are about to marry (Mawaddah), which numbered 49 courses, with the participation of 13,289 students, and the beneficiaries of the Solidarity and Karama project amounted to 41,959 students in 301 College, noting the Board's review of the universities' achievements in the field of student exchange; To inculcate the spirit of friendship, brotherhood and exchange of cultures among students, with the participation of 2715 students, indicating that the number of programs that have been created in public universities is 61 in 89 faculties.

The spokesperson added that the Board discussed a report submitted by Dr. Hisham Farouk, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation, on the efforts of the Ministry and the Supreme Board of Universities in the areas of securing books, insured certificates, and virtual laboratories.

The Spokesman indicated that the Board approved the organization of Mansoura University for a student event "The Golden Pharaoh - 100 Years of History" on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun on November 4, 1922 and its inclusion in the plan of the summit activities for the year 2023/2022, provided that it is in the form of a competition for university students in Color photography (amateurs and professionals), advertising posters (specialists only), short stories, documentary films.

The Board was also informed of the organization of Ain Shams University for the Summit Forum for People with Special Needs during the mid-year vacation of the academic year 2023/2022.

The board reviewed Benha University's book, which includes a copy of the university's student activities report for the academic year 2022/2021, which is one of the university's publications, which was uploaded to the university's electronic portal (digital editions).
