The Minister of Higher Education reviews a report on the Institute for Leadership Development’s awareness programs on the anti-corruption strategic plan

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received a report submitted by Dr. Karim Hammam, Director of the Institute for Leadership Development, about the awareness training programs of the strategic plan to combat corruption. General managers and directors of departments in Egyptian universities, during the period from 16-20 January 2022, and the program concluded in the third phase with the participation of 200 male and female students from Egyptian universities and higher institutes during the period from 1-4 August 2022.

The report stated that the activities of the groups included many lectures on theories of external threats and their relationship to blurring identity and falsifying awareness, as well as a lecture on Egyptian national security, a lecture on combating corruption in light of Egypt’s Vision 2030, the moral charter for students, international agreements on corruption, and a lecture on governance and anti-corruption And a lecture on administrative sciences and information technologies to combat corruption, and several workshops. The training program also included many different sports activities, as well as artistic and cultural activities, and some tours and visits, including (Al-Moez Street - Museum of Civilization - Parliament).

         
   
         

The report indicated that on the sidelines of the activities of the Egyptian university and higher institute student group, an extensive seminar was held on combating corruption, which ended with several recommendations, namely:

Focusing on media campaigns that confront corruption.

Applying the principle of job rotation to combat corruption.

Creating initiatives for school and university students to clarify how to deal with corruption.

Conducting awareness convoys about corruption for schools, governorates, youth centers and clubs.

Conducting electronic and advertising campaigns that top social media sites through a unified hashtag for the Leadership Development Institute regiment.

Implementation of courses to educate students about ways to combat corruption.

Conducting periodic and continuous monitoring in institutions

Digital transformation in government institutions, especially those dealing with citizens.

Focus on spreading awareness of self-censorship of individuals through religion, morals and awareness campaigns.

   
   

For his part, Dr. Karim Hammam, Director of the Institute, explained that this program, organized by the Institute for the Preparation of Leaders, contributes to consolidating the efforts of the Egyptian state and its vision in confronting corruption, through the strategic plan of the Institute that works to develop the capabilities and skills of the masters of the university community, to bring out a new generation that is accredited It should be used in all areas of the nation’s future and they will be a reliable youth force in achieving the desired sustainable development.

He pointed out that these training courses contribute significantly to eliminating the phenomenon of corruption and raising awareness about the importance of the law and its application and adherence to legal principles, as the Institute for Leadership Development plays an important role in refining skills and contributing to decision-making and achieving an in-depth understanding of local, regional and international issues to participate in policy-making. futuristic.
