Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Eldamaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Archeology is offering a summer semester for its students.
Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty, stated that the Faculty’s internal regulations stipulate “... it is permissible to offer a summer semester according to the study conditions and the students’ needs, and that this semester is optional...”.
Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, said that the Faculty council had previously set the rules and standards regulating this semester and specified the number of students required to register in this semester and the minimum required for each course. Referring to the opening of electronic course registration for students on the UMS system under the supervision of the Academic Advising Unit and in coordination with those responsible for the system from the Information Technology Unit at the Faculty.
On her part, Ms. Somaya Abdel-Aal, Director of Education Affairs, said that the administration announced to students the standards and controls for this semester approved by the Faculty Council, the dates for registration of courses and the minimum required to open the course, and it has also finished setting the schedule of lectures before the start of the study.
