Cooperation protocol between Ain Shams University and Alexandria University

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, as a representative of Ain Shams University, signed a cooperation protocol with Alexandria University, which is represented by Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Qonsouh, President of Alexandria University.

Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Prof. Dr. Amani Osama, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Prof. Dr.. Mohamed Ragaa, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Prof. Dr. Sahar Musa Suleiman, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector at Ain Shams University, Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Director of the International Cooperation Office, and Prof. Dr. Sherweit Al-Ahmadi, Director of the Department of Expatriate Welfare at the university, and Counselor Muhammad Shatat, the legal advisor to the president of the university.

And from the University of Alexandria witnessed the signing of Prof. Dr. Wael Nabil, Vice President of Alexandria University for Education and Student Affairs, and a. Dr. Yasser Fouad, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Alexandria University, and Prof. Dr. Said Allam, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Bahy, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Prof. Dr. Amani Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Prof. Dr. Ali Abdel Mohsen, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

The protocol aims to intensify and activate the student exchange between the faculties of the different universities. The two parties agreed among themselves to cooperate in all available fields, in particular in the following:

First, the student exchange between Ain Shams University and Alexandria University should start as soon as possible.

Second, the student exchange between the two universities should begin in the engineering sector, the basic sciences sector, and the agricultural and medical sectors.

Third, in the coming stage, this exchange could be extended to all the different faculties of the two universities.

Fourth, the corresponding faculties of Ain Shams University and Alexandria University are discussing the method of applying this protocol to elective courses, regular courses, and to leave the details of this exchange and calculating the exchanged hours to the administrations of the corresponding colleges to achieve recognition for the student of these corresponding hours towards the graduation of students from the two universities without prejudice to progress Academic students and their graduation dates.

During the meeting, Prof. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, welcomed Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Qonswa, President of Alexandria University, and his accompanying delegation, expressing his happiness at the partnership between the two universities.

He also pointed out that the idea of cooperation between Ain Shams University and Alexandria University comes from the perspective of the policy affirmed by the Supreme Council of Universities, which aims to open up to all university and research institutions, whether inside Egypt or abroad, with the aim of exchanging scientific and research experiences for students, faculty staff and researchers.

He added that the cooperation between Ain Shams University and Alexandria University is an initiative that has not happened before and we have precedence.

He stressed that the two universities will work on the basis of this cooperation by allowing the exchange of students, faculty members and the supporting body between the two universities in all scientific and human sciences in the corresponding faculties between the two universities, and then work on the exchange in the field of scientific research to come up with distinguished scientific research, especially that Ain Shams University and Alexandria University Outstanding scientific classification.

On his part, Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Qonsouh, President of Alexandria University, expressed his happiness in the partnership with Ain Shams University. And faculty members or at the research level, in addition to the exchange of cultures between students and professors in various governorates of Egypt, which increases the belonging of our students to their homeland.

He added that this cooperation will be the starting point for popularizing the idea with all Egyptian universities.
