A successful evacuation experience in the main building of the University Dorm for Male students at Ain Shams University

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the university cities sector conducted a successful evacuation experiment in the main residential building of the university city for students of the “previously Republic Building”, this came under the supervision of Major General Ahmed Lashin, Secretary General of the University, and Prof. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University for the Education and Students Sector.

The evacuation was successfully tested according to emergency plans, and the building was evacuated in less than two minutes. The eight-story residential administrative building, comprising 200 employees and 575 students, in addition to conference and study rooms, gyms, billiards and table tennis, was evacuated.

The experiment was carried out successfully through full coordination between A. Ibrahim Saeed, General Supervisor of the University Cities Sector, and Lt. Col. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Director of the Civil Defense Department at the university.
