Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, received a high-level delegation from the American University in Cairo headed by Prof. Ahmed Dalal, President of the University, to consolidate joint cooperation between the two universities.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Omar Al Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Studies, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector at the university, and Prof. Dr. Hossam Fahim, Professor at the Faculty computer and information Sciences.
The American University delegation included Prof. Ihab Abdel Rahman, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the American University, Prof. Adham Ramadan, Associate Academic Vice Dean for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies at the American University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hamza, Advisor to the American University, and Prof. Dr. Lotfi Jaafar, Dean of the Faculty of Basic Sciences and Engineering in Hama.
During the meeting, Prof. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of Ain Shams University, welcomed the cooperation with the American University, stressing that the American University, which is 100 years old, is a leading educational destination in Egypt, welcoming the promotion of sustainable cooperation between the two sides, both in academic and non-academic activities.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Dalal, President of the American University, confirmed that Ain Shams University is one of the most prestigious universities in Egypt and the Arab region as well.
He added that the American University is keen to cooperate with various universities to contribute to this important stage in the history of the Egyptian state, which is witnessing development in all fields.
During the joint meeting, there were numerous theses, scientific and research discussions in discussing ways of joint cooperation between the two universities in the fields of science, engineering, computers, information, environmental studies, community service affairs and environmental development sector.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed their vision for joint cooperation, as well as a presentation of the services provided by both universities to students.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini gifted Prof. Dr. Ahmed Dalal and the accompanying delegation the " Zaafaran Palace" books.
