The great Scientist Dr. Farouk El-Baz announces the launch of a prize bearing his name for scientific excellence for students of the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University

During the meeting, Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, said that the university is witnessing special activities to mark the end of the student activities for the academic year 2018/2019. The University is witnessing the launch of a prize in the name of the Scientist Dr. Farouk El-Baz worth 20 thousand pounds annually distributed to the best student in the field of science.

He added that the university is not only a place for science, but also that it can accommodate all scientific, sports, cultural and leisure activities, which creates a balanced personality capable of facing life.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, spoke to the students of the faculty in its various departments to work hard and creatively and compete honestly for an award that is not worth its financial value, but to the extent of the prestigious Farouk El-Baz, who raised the name of Egypt on the moon. Adding that Dr. Farouk El-Baz has done a bank deposit guaranteeing the continuation of the award over time.
