The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University is planting trees in celebration of World Earth Day

Coinciding with the World Earth Day, April 22, the community service and environmental development sector at the university celebrates Earth Day, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof .Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, and the coordination of Prof. Dr. Jihan Ragab, Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business and advisor to the Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the supervision of Major General Ahmed Lashin, and the supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, the University's Assistant Secretary-General for the Sector.

Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz planted a number of trees on the university campus in the presence of Prof. Dr. Jihan Ragab, Prof. Dr. Noha Samir, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research, Prof. Dr. Hala Awad, Vice Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Suhail Hamza, a group of university professors and students, and Family for Egypt students

Also Prof. Dr. Jihan Rajab provides instructions to students on how to rationalize electricity consumption, use electricity-saving devices, conserve energy in general, how to preserve the environment, rationalize water consumption, and use environmentally friendly products.

The Earth Week aims to raise awareness of the importance of preserving the environment, activating the university’s role in preserving the environment, raising the level of social responsibility in the university community, and contributing to reducing environmental pollution.
