The start of the comprehensive development convoy works of Ain Shams University to serve the cities of Shalateen, Halayeb and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea

Under the auspices of Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, and a. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and within the framework of the presidential initiative "Dignified Life", the comprehensive development convoy work organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the university, headed by Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Sector Affairs, in cooperation with the Red Sea Governorate and the Southern Military Region, to serve the people of the cities of Shalateen, Halayeb and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate

Under the general supervision of Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Tariq Youssef, Deputy Executive Director of University Hospitals, under the supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Secretary General of Ain Shams University, Assistant to the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector Affairs.

         
   
         

Where Mr. Suhail Hamza, conducted an inspection tour to check the progress of the work of the convoy, with the application of all precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the safety of the hesitant residents.

During the first day of the start of the convoy’s work, free medical services were provided in parallel, as clinics were opened in both Shalateen city to serve its residents in various medical specialties such as ophthalmology, internal medicine, orthopedics, dermatology, children, chest, general surgery, dental, nose, ear, throat, neurological, psychological, and gynecology, in addition to analyzes medical and rays.

At the same time, clinics were opened in the city of Halayeb, including the specialties of internal medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, obstetrics, gynecology, ear, nose, throat, orthopedics and chest.

         
   
         

The treatment is also dispensed for free through the Caravan pharmacy, in addition to measuring blood pressure and sugar.

In addition to the awareness campaign activity presented by Dr. Tarek Abdel Fattah, who gave a lecture at Major General Hassan Kamel Preparatory School on the optimal use of modern technology.

In addition to an awareness campaign at the Shalateen Nursing Institute about the art of dealing with illness.

The activities of the convoy during the first day also included the opening of literacy classes, the issuance of certificates, and the making of subscriptions for those who were emancipated from illiteracy, in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education headed by Prof. Dr. Ashour Omari, President of the General Assembly.

The work of the convoy is scheduled to continue until March 31.
