The conclusion of the activities of the second day of the series “A B Politics” in the Faculty of education, Ain Shams University

Within the framework of the cultural and artistic season of Ain Shams University, the activities of the second day of the "A B Politics" series were concluded, which was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Education, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Radwan Hammouda, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Gamal Shaqra, Adviser for Political and Strategic Affairs of the University, Prof. Dr. Jihan Ragab, Adviser to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Hala Khalaf, Head of the History Department at the Faculty of Education.

In her speech, Prof. Dr. Jihan Rajab emphasized the importance of the A B Politics symposium because of its role in developing cultural and political awareness among university students, through rich discussions and shedding light on many concepts related to the state, the political system, government, the components of the modern state, the meaning of bureaucracy, citizenship, and others.

Prof. Dr. Gamal Shaqra pointed out in his speech the importance of spreading political awareness among university students and developing their awareness and awareness of many concepts such as the difference between liberalism and imperialism, asking them not to be drawn into extremist slogans and concepts, and to circulate ABC seminars in all faculties of Ain Shams University and universities in Egypt.

Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty, stressed the importance of the university’s role in increasing and raising the cultural, intellectual, and historical awareness of university students through its continuous and permanent support in holding such seminars, which contribute to raising the spirit of belonging,  and patriotism among students.

On her part, Prof. Dr. Hala Khalaf, Head of the History Department at the Faculty of Education, thanks Prof. Dr. Safaa Shehata, Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs, for her great effort in directing the A B Politics symposium, the Faculty Students Union and a family for Central Egypt for organizing.

She emphasized the history department's keenness to work for the community, noting the university professors' keenness, including teachers, researchers, and activists, to serve the community at the same time. Students and also what our students are exposed to a fierce attack through various media, which aims to distort their memory.

It is worth noting that today's activities included two sessions, the first session was moderated by Dr. Hazem Rashid and participated by Prof. Dr. Hisham Azmy, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Culture and former head of the General Authority for National Books and Documents, speaking about "the role of the Supreme Council of Culture in developing youth awareness", and Dr. Ola Abdel-Fattah Ragab, member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Arab-African Council "Work Culture and Societal Changes for Sustainable Development and Creativity". Prof. Dr. Mona Sobhy, Professor of Economic Geography and Transport at Al-Azhar University and a member of the Geography Committee of the Supreme Council of the Press, on “The Development of Sustainable Transport Networks in the New Republic.”

While the second session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Radwan Hammouda, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education of Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in which Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saber Arab, former Minister of Culture, speaking about "cultural development", and Major General Amgad Morsi, former commander of the multinational forces, "The Role of Sustainable Development in Confronting Hybrid War", also addressed by Prof. Dr. Amani Fouad, Professor of Criticism, gave a speech on “Enlightenment in Confrontation with the Transformations of the Egyptian Personality.” Prof. Dr. Tarek Mansour, Professor of Medieval History and former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts, participated in the session, speaking about “The Role of the New Republic in Confronting the Delusion of Sectarianism.”

In his speech on the efforts of the state in the new republic to eliminate the illusion of sectarianism, Prof. Dr. Tariq Mansour emphasized on the awareness of the Egyptian nation throughout history, and its cohesion in the face of external dangers and those raised by the terrorist group to destabilize the country.

He also reviewed the efforts of the political leadership in the field of national unity, stressing that he is the first president of Egypt to visit the cathedral on Christmas Day to congratulate the Coptic brothers on their birthday since President Gamal Abdel Nasser visited it at the opening ceremony in 1968.

He indicated his keenness toward the unity of the nation, reviewing the efforts of the political leadership in this field and the construction of the Al-Fattah Al-Alim Mosque and next to it the new cathedral in the new administrative capital, which is the same approach with which he directed his sovereignty in the new neighborhoods of Al-Asmarat and Good News after getting rid of the slums.

Prof. Dr. Rania Yahya, Professor of Art Criticism at the Academy of Arts and member of the National Council for Women, discussed the topic of "The New Republic and Soft Powers"

It is reported that during the symposium, prof. Dr. Gamal Shaqra, Advisor for Political and Strategic Affairs to the President of the University, prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty, honored the participants in the symposium and awarded them with honorary shields, and the poet Ola Howaidaq recited a poem entitled "Poetry in Love of Egypt".
