The Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, celebrated the graduation of two batches of Faimer Fellowship recipients from the Regional Institute of the Faimer International Foundation in Philadelphia, and in charge of the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, to serve the Middle East and North Africa region and work in the field of advancing international medical education and research. This came under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the College of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, where the graduation of 78 of the batches of 2019 and 2020 was celebrated in a ceremony organized by those in charge of the program under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Randa Reda, program director, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nadia Badrawi, and Prof. Dr. Wagdi Talaat, the deans of the Faculty of Medicine, and a group of professors and graduates.
During his speech, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini said that Ain Shams University was keen to develop continuous medical education and provide all medical staff with the opportunity to develop, familiarize and keep abreast of the latest scientific findings in various disciplines. The right approach, which is consistent with the vision of the Egyptian state in promoting the comprehensive health system.
He praised the efforts of those in charge of this distinguished educational program, stressing that the increase in the preparation of graduates of this program will bring about a real boom in various disciplines.
He stressed that Ain Shams University does not hesitate to open prospects for joint cooperation with major international institutions in line with Ain Shams University's global orientation.
