The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, organized an introductory symposium within its series of educational seminars entitled "Ongoing global developments and their regional repercussions", under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the College, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, attended during which Prof. Dr. Ayman Salama, professor of international law and member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, in the presence of a group of faculty members, the supporting staff and students of the faculty.

Prof. Dr. Yomna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, said during her opening speech that university life does not stop at receiving sciences only; But it includes raising awareness and educating students on various local and global events, especially since we live in an era of rapid developments, and keeping pace with discussing global changes by hosting specialists and benefiting from their experiences has become an urgent need to enlighten the minds of university students about the course of things, stressing that the community service and environmental development sector The college will continue to launch educational and introductory seminars within its cultural season during the coming period.

  During the seminar, Prof. Dr. Ayman Salama, professor of international law and member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, made several points, most notably the ethics of the translation profession and the need to be honest in investigating and investigating the terms that are translated to achieve the ultimate goal of the translation process, citing several terms that are translated by some Arab translators in a different way. Accurate, citing the difference between the terms demarcation and delimitation, stressing that attention to the accuracy of terminology is what qualifies the translator to work in the most prestigious international forums.

He continued, referring to the global pandemic of Corona and its repercussions, as it made the world paralyzed in global trade and the high rates of poverty among the countries of the world, especially the countries of the Middle East, stressing that this pandemic cast a shadow over all parts of the world and left behind it many repercussions that will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the world over the coming years.

Salama also reviewed several studies of the World Bank that confirm the expansion of poverty in the world as a result of the repercussions of that pandemic that struck the world at the beginning of 2020, and as a result of these events, a major change was created in the global labor market and the emergence of a new class of poor for the first time due to the stagnation of markets and change Or the disappearance of a large number of works. He continued, stressing that the emerging crisis of the Corona pandemic created a new crisis in the scheduled supply chain at airports and ports worldwide, which led to the occurrence of economic crises for all countries of the world, as well as pressure on logistical networks during the process of closing ports and airports, the decrease in supply chains and the increase in demand led to the occurrence of Extensive disturbances, the repercussions of which we will witness in a short period of time.

He also addressed the "safety" of the climate changes that the world is witnessing, praising Egypt's role in realizing the dangers of these changes and its hosting for the first time of the United Nations Climate Conference, denouncing climate change as an alarm bell for humanity, stressing that studies dealing with the annihilation of some of the world's cities during The next twenty years are not exaggerated, but are specialized studies in a scientific way, stressing that global peace and security are not only concerned with wars; However, they include natural disasters such as desertification, climate change and global warming, and he stressed that these challenges will not be able to confront humanity as long as resources and resources are scarce, which are emptied into the yoke of solidarity between nations large and small.
