Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Eldamaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and the implementation of Mr. Tamer Tharwat Al-Assal, Director of Student Welfare Department, and the organization of the College’s Students’ Union. On Monday, March 7, the College of Archeology held a workshop entitled “E-Services for Students”, in which Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdel Aal, teacher in the Department of Islamic Archeology, and Director of the Information Technology Unit lectured in the workshop.
Beefore the start of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, said that this event comes within the framework of what the Faculty of Archeology is witnessing in the development and implementation of training programs that include lectures and workshops aimed at improving services provided to students through digital transformation, in which the university has made great strides in a desire to facilitate its students and reduce performance time.
Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim tackled the objectives and tasks of the information technology unit in the college, and pointed out that this workshop comes within the unit’s plan to conduct workshops for students, faculty members and the administrative apparatus of the college to serve the unit’s goals, then moved to the focus of the training workshop, which is the services provided to students through the university management system UMS, the university's e-learning platform ASU2LEARN, the university email for students and the downloading of original programs and copies of antiviruses, and the services provided to students on the official website of the college on the university's portal.
