An inspection tour of the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research to follow up on the postgraduate exams at the Faculty of Arts

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, inspects the conduct of the exams at the end of the first semester 2021/2022 for graduate students in the credit-hour system (PhD - Masters - Diplomas) at the Faculty of Arts, which is held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sherin Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs.

During his inspection tour, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh praised the application of the Faculty of Arts to all precautionary measures, the students' commitment to the muzzle, and he also made sure that the examinees received any of the anti-Coronavirus vaccines.

         
   
         

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, said that the exams began on January 5 and will continue until Thursday, February 3, 2022, stressing that all means are provided to achieve the greatest degree of sterilization and disinfection of the committees between exam periods, stressing that all members of the examination process wear the muzzle and the readiness of the medical center, and making sure that the committees are ventilated and also the control rooms, as he confirmed the Faculty's keenness to announce the schedules before the start of the exams in an appropriate period.

On her part, Prof. Dr. Sherin Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, said that an auditorium (A) has been allocated to examination panels, taking into account that half of its capacity is filled by graduate students (PhD, Masters, and Diplomas). 

         
   
         

Mazloum indicated that the exams are held in two shifts, from 9:11 in the morning and from 12:2 in the afternoon, an hour apart between the two periods, during which the examination hall is sterilized.

The examination period was also divided into two parts: from January 5 to January 17 for the Psychology and Sociology departments due to the fact that they include half of the postgraduate students. The second part starts from January 20 to February 3 and is concerned with exams for the departments: Arabic, Oriental Languages, Hebrew, and French English language, philosophy, European civilization, history, geographic information systems, theatrical criticism and drama, libraries and information (for the first time, the door to graduate studies is opened with the credit hour system.
