Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, announced the launch of the first semester exams for the academic year 2021/2022 at the faculty next Thursday, December 30, 2021
It is scheduled to end on Thursday, February 3, 2022 under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, amid strict precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus and its variants, according to the decisions recently taken by the Supreme Council of Universities headed by Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which stresses the keenness to take all necessary measures to ensure the proper conduct of exams in accordance with the internal regulations of the faculties and to ensure the safety of all elements of the examination process.
The Dean of the Faculty also stressed the solidarity of all the faculty departments in working on the success of the exam process, explaining that the students were stressed on the need to show evidence of their receipt of the vaccination against the Corona virus, as the faculty provides an integrated medical unit in cooperation with the University's medical administration present daily a month before the start of the exam. The beginning of the current school year until now, and the observers and the examining body are also required to have received the vaccine as well, according to the decision of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University.
The "Dean of the Faculty" praised the efforts made by all the departments responsible for exams in the speedy completion of preparations, especially the publication of schedules, seating numbers and committee places on the faculty’s page and in the places designated for advertisement in the faculty.
On her part, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, stated that exams are scheduled to take place over (5) periods per day, starting from nine in the morning until four in the afternoon, and the time of the committee is one hour, and each committee is separated by half an hour, during which the committees are sterilized and cleaned, and students are also allowed Entering as soon as they are at the Faculty to prevent congestion in front of the committees and on the roads.
It was also emphasized that students were organized within the committees with half their absorptive capacities to achieve the principle of social distancing among students, as well as stressing that students and faculty members wear the muzzle and prevent the exchange of stationery, and the faculty administration is keen to provide alcohol and disinfectants to counter the spread of the virus.
