Entitled "The Role of Student Service Centers with Disabilities in Universities in Promoting an Inclusive University Educational Environment", which was held within the activities of the Second Inclusive Education Conference, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the American AMIDEAST Foundation within the framework of the Higher Education Initiative and government university grants, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Universities Affairs, Mrs. Quincy Der Moody, Director of the University Grants Project - AMIDEAST, and a group of Vice Presidents of the five Egyptian universities that include centers for serving students with disabilities, namely the universities (Ain Shams, Cairo, Alexandria , Mansoura, Assiut), the directors of service centers for people with disabilities,

       
   
       

and a group of education experts in various Egyptian universities and educational institutions. During the participation of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, at the second inclusive education conference, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud added that Ain Shams University has been keen to support and care for students with special abilities and integrate them into the university community since 2013, in conjunction with the university’s interest in entering international assessments, especially the QS assessment, of which the assessment of availability with international monitoring is a major part, and since then the hard work has begun to develop Plans on an ongoing basis to suit any emergency circumstances.

His Excellency reviewed the university's endeavor to forge partnerships with various community institutions; To provide the best educational service for students with disabilities while enabling them to obtain suitable jobs in the labor market, as the university provides all the supplies that help students, including wheelchairs for people with motor disabilities, a cane for people with visual disabilities and other supplies. This is in addition to providing training opportunities to develop students’ skills in various fields, including computer skills courses in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and photography skills courses for blind students, as well as providing training opportunities in some banks and companies, in addition to strengthening the idea of entrepreneurship in cooperation with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the university. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud explained that the role of the university and the service center for students with disabilities at the university does not stop at this point, but the university is interested in training workers dealing with students with disabilities to rehabilitate them in various aspects, whether psychological or skill, where the workers were trained to choose and use visual aids to deal with students with disabilities. Ms. Rana Al-Hilali, Director of the Service Center for Students with Disabilities at the University, participated in a panel discussion “on the elements and requirements for establishing and managing a center to serve students with disabilities”, during which she explained that the center is interested in integrating students with disabilities into the university community with all its elements, including faculty members, students and workers, while enabling students to benefit as much as possible. possible of their abilities and talents. She indicated that the university provided a number of sub-headquarters of the center next to the main campus on the campus in order to facilitate the students, and these headquarters are represented in the Vision Center at the Faculty of Arts, the Rafik Al-Darb Center at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, the Support Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, the Support Unit at the Faculty of Engineering, and the Support Unit at the Faculty of Business.
