The opening of the Scientific Society for Measurement and Evaluation of the Association of Arab Universities at Ain Shams University

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, inaugurated the headquarters of the Scientific Association for Measurement and Evaluation of the Arab League at the Department of University Education Development at Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mona Abdel Aal, Executive Director of the Education Development Department at Ain Shams University and Secretary-General of the Association, in the presence of a group of deans and agents, and a group of experts and specialists in the field of measurement and evaluation locally and regionally, in addition to the participation of a number of university presidents and deans of colleges via video conference.

The attendees also toured the place, and Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, praised the developments witnessed by Ain Shams University, expressing his happiness that Ain Shams University hosted the headquarters of the Measurement and Evaluation Association.

Prof. Dr. Mona Abdel Aal, Executive Director of the Education Development Department at Ain Shams University and Secretary-General of the Association, said that the Scientific Society for Measurement and Evaluation is the first of its kind among Arab universities, and aims to raise the level of the measurement and evaluation system and provide integrated solutions to develop the system in Arab universities, as a contribution to achieving justice, transparency and quality of education, in addition to spread the culture of measurement, evaluation, and scientific and professional communication for those interested in developing the educational process, raising the efficiency of faculty members in Arab universities, and preparing scientific and executive cadres to develop the evaluation process.

She added that the association provides various services, including workshops and training courses in the field of measurement and evaluation, preparing and circulating the measurement and evaluation guide approved by the Association of Arab Universities and Ain Shams University, in addition to exchanging experiences through scientific visits, research publications, holding conferences, as well as technical support for the establishment of specialized entities in the field Measurement and calendar.

It is worth noting that the field of measurement and evaluation is of great importance to the student, as his future is determined according to his grades and estimates, in addition to evaluating the educational process and the performance of the faculty member through the process of measurement and evaluation. In addition, the measurement and evaluation process works to achieve justice and transparency, which makes the educational institution within Excellence ranks.
