Prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Saud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Students Affairs opened the meeting with Sheikh Ahmed Turk, one of the scholars of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Research Center of the Ministry of Awqaf. Prof. Dr. Taye Abdul Latif Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for student activities, Prof. Dr. Tamer Radi Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, Mrs. Sahar Megahid Director General of the General Directorate of Youth Welfare, Mr. Tarik Ahmed, Director of the Student Unions and Families, Mr. Ashraf Khalid, President of the Student Union, and a group of students from various faculties attended the meeting.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Saud stressed the keenness of Ain Shams University to open all the windows of knowledge and culture for its students and to establish cultural events that provide an opportunity for youth to meet with people of thought and culture to achieve positive communication and open channels of dialogue with young people. He pointed out the importance of dialogue with young people, builders of tomorrow and future men, and respond transparently and clearly to all that is in their minds of questions, so as to address the false and destructive ideas and to prevent rumors and to clarify the facts.
During his speech, Sheikh Ahmed Turk reviewed the types and forms of war, focusing on the current wars of the fourth generation, which are based on the basic pillars of (war forced, failure of the state, destabilization and imposition of a new reality), There are wars against religion and other wars of extremism.
He said that terrorist groups traded in the name of religion used psychological, religious and ideological entrances, citing examples of what is being woven to re-engineer the minds in order to control them.
He directed a number of advice to young people, most importantly not to follow any misconceptions or rumors destructive, but the realization of reason and research and inquiry from the knowledge and experience to the truth, pointing to the adaptation of modern technological means and media effects to stir up sedition.
He stressed that the mention of Egypt in the Koran guarantees its survival, stressing that Egypt's use of soft power alongside the rough smart forces makes it go at a steady pace as the oldest country in existence.
He called on them to look to the future and work to be an influential element in the development and progress of the country.
